Find the chip number

Forgot Your Pet's Microchip Number? How to Find It

If you no longer have the number, check your paperwork first. If it cannot be found, a vet or other suitable scanner service can scan the pet and provide the number.

Places to check

  • Vet account or invoices
  • Vaccination card
  • Pet passport
  • Breeder or rescue documents
  • Old emails from the microchip database
PetChipHelp is an independent guidance service. We can help identify the database and explain the process, but official microchip records are changed by the database provider that holds the registration.
