Step-by-step
- Find your dog's microchip number.
- Identify the database using the PetChipHelp finder.
- Sign in to the database or contact its support team.
- Update your address and any outdated phone or email details.
- Keep confirmation of the change for your records.
If you cannot access the account
Use the database provider's account recovery or support process. If the chip is still registered to a previous keeper, you may need a keeper-transfer process instead of a simple address update.
PetChipHelp is an independent guidance service. We can help identify the database and explain the process, but official microchip records are changed by the database provider that holds the registration.
Have the microchip number?
Check which database appears to hold the record, then go straight to the right provider.
